How could we be
called United Methodists if we didn't have an event centered around
food? We had a week long celebration of world wide minstry. A
luncheaon, several small group meetings, and our International
Dinner. The dinner was perhaps the pinnacle event of the Celebration.
Missionaries were scattered throughout the dinner tables giving our
congregation yet another opportunity for conversation with them. The
table décor featured different countries through articles,
photos and statues. We delighted ourselves with the delicious flavors
of other shores. After eating, several missionaries took their seats
on a platform while our GIC facilitator asked each of them questions.
Afterward, the floor was opened up so individuals could ask more
questions of the missionaries. |
