Dar Phillips has been a member of Wayside since 1988. She has served as the office adminsitrator since June of 2014.
 
She graduated from Nitro High School and attended WV State University.  
 
She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.
 
 

Director of Music 

 

Brenda Lewis has been a member of Wayside since she was a baby. She began seving in the music ministry of the church when she was in kindergarten. Brenda says that God has blessed her with a “loving, supportive church family” which has made her service “even sweeter and more successful.”

She was educated in Wood County Schools and participated in many choirs and special vocal groups through school and in the community.

Brenda is retired from the banking industry and lives in Parkersburg with her husband, Bob. Together, they have 5 children and 8 (soon to be 9!) grandchildren.

Church Organist

 
Joy Varner brings us to a wonderful worship on Sunday mornings with her musical talent.  Every Sunday, Joy begins our worship with a wonderful piano prelude that sets the mood for our worship service.
 
Joy is a recent college graduate and works full time in the medical field.
 
She lives in Vienna with her three children; Jaron, Jonah, and Jensen.
 
 

Building Supervisor 

 
Donna Vincent is Wayside’s Building Supervisor.  She came to us from Winans Sanitary Supply with many years of experience. Donna has worked for Wayside for three years.
 
She is married to Tim Vincent. Donna has two grown children and three grandchildren who keep her busy.
 
If you can’t find Donna at home, then she and Tim are probably riding their horses in the countryside…or riding their motorcycles!

Youth Director

 
DJ Archer lives in Walker, WV with her husband, Tim and children, Kylee, Bentley, and Wesley.  
 
She graduated from Western Governors University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2014 and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2019.
 
DJ has grown up at Wayside and has fond memories of her youth group days.  She looks forward to leading our youth as she was led in youth group.
