Senior Pastor
Rev. Jeremy Daniels
Jeremy Daniels was appointed to Wayside & Sand Hill UMC’s in July of 2022. He has been in pastoral ministry since 2013 along with his wife Erin.
Jeremy graduated from Nitro High School in 1998 and WV State College in 2002. Recently, he received his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2022.
Office Administrator
Dar Phillips has been a member of Wayside since 1988. She has served as the office adminsitrator since June of 2014.
She graduated from Nitro High School and attended WV State University.
She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Church Organist
Joy Varner brings us to a wonderful worship on Sunday mornings with her musical talent. Every Sunday, Joy begins our worship with a wonderful piano prelude that sets the mood for our worship service.
She lives in Vienna and has three children; Jaron, Jonah, and Jensen.
What a joy it is to have Joy help us leading worship each week here at Wayside!
Building Supervisor
Donna Vincent is Wayside’s Building Supervisor and has been with us for almost a decade and is always willing and ready to help wherever and whenever she is needed. She even puts up with Pastor Jeremy’s nonsense and shenanigans.
If you can’t find Donna at home, then she and Tim are probably riding their horses in the countryside…or riding their motorcycles!
Youth Director
DJ Archer lives in Walker, WV with her husband, Tim and children, Kylee, Bentley, and Wesley.
She graduated from Western Governors University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2014 and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2019.
DJ has grown up at Wayside and has fond memories of her youth group days. She looks forward to leading our youth as she was led in youth group.
